Netflix has unveiled the first frame of the fifth season of the historical series  “The Crown” about the royal family of Great Britain.

In the frame, the actress Imelda Staunton (“Harry Potter”) appeared in the image of Elizabeth II, who will play this role in the last seasons of the project. Let us recall that the entire cast of the series changes every two seasons, symbolizing the passage of time.

Previously, Claire Foy and Olivia Colman played the lead role. In the fourth season, Princess Diana was also introduced, played by Emma Corin – in the sequel, the role is played by Elizabeth Debicki (“Argument”).

Crown was supposed to end in season five, but later project author Peter Morgan returned to his original six-season plan. The exact date of the premiere of the novelty is not yet available.
